Eid Mubarak!!
Eid al-Fitr has arrived in the Muslim-world, a time for celebrating the end of the Holy month of Ramadan for followers of Islam.
At this time, when the NTC in Libya have announced a periodic cessation of military activity around Sirte; the oppressive Syrian government, still see fit to persecute it’s citizens for expressing their wish for freedom of expression and democratic resolve.
Why are the US, Europe and Syria’s Arab neighbours so reticent, when it comes to sanctions or direct intevention. Is this hypocrisy simply related to Syria’s perceived lack of consumable resources, or are they as a regime; a greater threat to world stability than Gaddafi and Libya posed?
